Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS), specialists in providing solutions and building materials for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities, is on the hunt for a Business Development Partner to cover Cumbria, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands and South Wales. All applicants must have a full UK driving licence.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying, developing and winning new business opportunities across the social housing and public sector markets
  • Building strong relationships with key decision-makers and positioning JPS as a trusted partner
  • Developing innovative, evidence-led proposals that deliver value and efficiency for customers
  • Managing and maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities through effective CRM management
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams including Bids, Estimating, Operations and Partnerships to deliver winning customer solutions
  • Supporting contract mobilisation, retention and ongoing customer engagement activities
  • Representing JPS at exhibitions, customer events and industry networking opportunities
  • Championing social value initiatives that support communities and strengthen customer partnerships
  • Monitoring market trends, customer insight and commercial performance to identify opportunities for growth

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in business development, sales or strategic partnerships within a customer-facing environment
  • Experience within the Public Sector or social housing sector is preferred
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering profitable growth
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage pipelines, priorities and reporting effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple business functions
  • Good understanding of public sector procurement processes and commercial agreements
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office packages and CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with the resilience and energy to succeed in a fast-paced environment
