We are currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Manager to join our flagship branch in Luton (Dallow Road, LU1 1YB).

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects.
  • Get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice.
  • Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning.
  • Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!).
  • Work as direct support to the management team and act as a keyholder when needed.
  • Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products.
  • Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts.
  • Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority.
  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement.
