We are currently recruiting for a Yard Assistant to join our friendly branch in Great Missenden (HP16 0RD). This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 7:30-17:00, and every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.
Responsibilities
- Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service.
- Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers' current and future requirements.
- Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor.
- Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles.
- Provide advice on products and services with particular attention to cross-selling packages and services such as Project Estimator and Tool Hire.
- Understand our approach to pricing and be able to communicate credible prices.
- Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required.
- Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs.
