We are looking for a Yard Supervisor to join the team at our Evesham branch. This is a full-time role working different shift patterns between the hours of 06:30 – 17:00 Monday-Friday, along with every other Saturday from 08:00-12:00.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support your team ensuring that company standards are met and colleagues are provided with guidance and feedback to improve performance.
- Train and mentor new team members on company policies, procedures, and customer service best practices.
- Key Holder and Alarm Response duties.
- Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor.
- Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles.
- Stock control – ensure sufficient stock levels are maintained, as well as various stock-take duties.
- Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service.
- Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers' current and future requirements.
- Provide advice on products and services with particular attention to cross-selling packages and services such as Project Estimator and Tool Hire.
- Understand our approach to pricing and be able to communicate credible prices.
- Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required.
- Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs.

- Experience in leading/ managing a team.
- Builders Merchant experience is desirable but not essential.
- High levels of customer satisfaction with frequently returning customers and growing live accounts.
