We are looking for a volunteer to phone and email supermarkets to nominate Food Bank Aid as a local charity for a grant or fund. We will provide material to send over to the supermarkets and, if needed, a laptop. This role can be done remotely or at the hub.
Responsibilities
- Phone and email supermarkets to nominate Food Bank Aid.
- Distribute provided materials to supermarkets.
- Use a laptop as required for communication.
Flexible Timing
We are happy to be flexible on location and/or times if required.
Food Bank Aid is a central distribution hub that provides food, toiletries and household goods to thirty food banks in North London.
Responsibilities
- Place products into crates ready to be sent to food banks, ensuring proper stacking and avoiding over‑fill.
- Unwrap and separate multi‑packs.
- Split large bags of goods into smaller bags for distribution.
- Replenish crates with new products arriving at the hub.
Shift Times
- 1st shift 8:00 am – 9:00 am
- 2nd shift 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- 3rd shift 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
- 4th shift 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm
