Overview

UK Jewish Film exhibits the best of world Jewish cinema in the UK, provides support and training to emerging British filmmakers to create films that reflect British-Jewish life and experience, and delivers education events for schools. The UK Jewish Film Festival (6-16 November) this year celebrates its 29th anniversary and will be in cinemas nationwide and online. We are a BAFTA-qualifying festival and the largest festival of our type in Europe.

Role

Festival Volunteers who are enthusiastic, helpful, warm and welcoming to our Festival audiences. You will be asked to:

  • Get to know the Festival back to front
  • Interact enthusiastically and warmly with audience members
  • Ensure that all audience members feel noticed and welcomed
  • Assist audience members with any questions or queries
  • In some venues you may be asked to perform usher duties

Person specifications

  • Passion for film, cinema and film festivals
  • Reliable, friendly and a positive demeanour
  • No prior experience is necessary
  • Ability to commit a few hours in person over the duration of the festival to support the operation of events

We are seeking volunteers who are proactive, good communicators and able to work well as part of a team in a public setting.
