Join Volunteers on Wheels to help feed thousands! We are seeking DRIVERS for our vans. As a driver, you will play an essential role in our operation by using our vans to collect food/supplies and delivering them to the network of food banks we support.
Our service operates Monday to Friday and drivers are needed from 8:30am (starting in Mill Hill NW7) to around lunchtime. Our vans are located on Upper Page Street, Mill Hill, NW7 2BE. There is free on-street parking available nearby.
Charity Volunteers on Wheels (VoW) collects and delivers food and other essential goods in bulk, to and for, food banks in North/Northwest London, Middlesex, Harrow and Hertfordshire, and surrounding areas. Food banks have limited volunteer numbers and say our transport logistics service is a “vital link in the chain distributing more than 1 million food parcels per year” to vulnerable members of our society struggling with food insecurity and poverty.
Our service provides 3 additional social community benefits in the form of:
- Reduced food wastage.
- Reduced fuel consumption.
- Reduced environmental impact.
VoW currently supports over 40 food banks who help more than 30,000 people per week.
