The Program Director is responsible for managing all daily program operations, including hiring, training, and supervision of the Domestic Violence Advocates, Domestic Violence Therapist, volunteers, and interns. The Director represents Shelter Without Walls and JFCS in the community and has primary responsibility for building and enhancing community partnerships and collaborations, participating in appropriate coalitions and work groups.
Duties include:
- Oversees daily program operations, monitoring program spending, facilitating staff meetings (or more if needed), and managing Specific Assistance funds.
- Provides training, supervision, clinical oversight, and support to Shelter Without Walls staff including DV Advocates, DV Therapist, Volunteers and Interns and Operations staff.
- Participates in JFCS Agency meetings/committees as appropriate, participates in community meetings, and committees such as ACES DV Program Managers, SAFE DVS, ACVS, MAG DV Council (among others).
- Collects data and completes program reports for funding sources and agency departments, as necessary.
- Assists with grant writing for program funding and marketing as needed.
- Develops and refines program components as needed, including documentation and data collection formats and new directions in programming, to ensure best practice standards.
- Monitors the coverage of client services (phones, groups and individual) and assists with coverage as needed.
- Performs other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the VP of Child and Family Solutions.
The Director is responsible for collecting and managing data and completing required reports for funding sources and participates in grant writing efforts as needed.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited university.
- Clinical licensure. Independent Licensure preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with victims/survivors of domestic violence.
- Minimum two years’ experience with supervision, program development, and program management.
- Reliable transportation required and valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance without restrictions.
- Passes VOCA criminal history suitability requirements.
