About the role
This isn’t a typical care role. As a Care & Support Worker, you’ll support tenants living in their own flats—helping them stay independent, connected, and in control of their lives. From practical support to companionship, you’ll build meaningful relationships and play a key role in creating a strong community. This role is based on an average of 37.5 hours per week, worked across a two-week rolling rota. Night shifts run from 9:00pm to 7:00am.
The shift pattern is as follows:
- Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Friday
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
There is a genuine occupational requirement, in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1974, for the postholder to be female.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting tenants with personal care and daily living
- Promoting independence, choice, and dignity
- Building trusted relationships with tenants and their families
- Supporting wellbeing through social activities and community engagement
- Working with health and social care professionals to provide joined-up support
- Keeping accurate records and using care planning systems

- Comfortable supporting people with different needs, including dementia
