The predicted salary is between 13 - 17 £ per hour.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our high‐spec kitchen equipped with Rational iCombi ovens and a high‐performing team. This is a 35‐hour per week role, working 5 days out of 7, including some weekends. Shift patterns are 7:00 am – 2:30 pm or 11:30 am – 7 pm. Pay is £16.90 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‐quality, nutritious meals while ensuring food hygiene and Health & Safety compliance.
- Work within budget, administer unit controls and seek ways to improve quality and cost‐effectiveness.
- Develop innovative menus that meet cultural and Kashrut requirements.
- Lead, motivate and encourage the kitchen team to achieve high customer service standards.
- Support catering for events and maintain a positive kitchen culture.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Supervisor experience and relevant qualifications in food hygiene or catering services (NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent).
- Energetic, passionate and proactive attitude.
- Experience working to deadlines and adhering to budgetary requirements.
- Understanding of the sensitivity needed to care for vulnerable people.
