Join our dedicated Residential Care team as a Bank Mental Health Support Worker. This vital role is key to ensuring our residents lead meaningful lives and feel connected to their community.
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will deliver exceptional care and support to residents within our Mental Health Care Homes. This includes assisting with personal care, administering medication, and supporting residents in daily activities that promote choice, independence, and dignity.
Working at our Sidney Corob House and Jack Gardner House, you will care for adults aged 50+ with mental health needs and Jewish adults aged 18+ with mental health needs.
Shift Pattern (Weekly Rota)
- 2 x Morning Shifts: 8am β 4pm
- 1 x Long Day Shift: 8am β 10pm
- 1 x Night Shift: 10pm β 8am
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide personal care, assist with meals, and administer medication.
- Support residents in their daily routines to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assist in organising and participating in recreational activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders to provide holistic support.
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions.
- Experience in supporting individuals with mental health challenges, ideally in a residential care setting.
- Experience providing personal care, administering medication, and completing risk assessments.
- The ability to engage and motivate individuals with complex needs.
- Experience working in a multicultural and diverse environment.
