Job Summary
We are seeking either an experienced Community Support Worker or a Qualified Social Worker to join Jewish Cares Social Work and Community Support team on a part‑time basis, working 20 hours per week.
Based from one of our sites in Friern Barnet, Golders Green or Ilford, you will support adults, older people, carers, and families across North East London, Central London, and Essex.
Depending on your qualifications and experience, you will be appointed as either a Community Support Worker or a Qualified Social Worker.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide personalised assessments, advice, advocacy and practical support that enables people to maintain their independence, improve their wellbeing and remain connected to their communities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of adults, older people, carers and families.
- Conduct holistic assessments and develop person‑centred plans to help individuals and carers achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide advice, advocacy and practical support to enable people to maintain independence and improve wellbeing.
- Collaborate with colleagues, health professionals, voluntary organisations and community partners to support people through changing circumstances.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experienced Community Support Worker or Qualified Social Worker.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake holistic assessments, provide advice and advocacy, and develop person‑centred plans.
- Strong working knowledge of safeguarding standards and ability to lead on care planning.
- Access to a vehicle is required.
- Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
