Jewels of Faith is hosting its first ever in‑person immersive gathering for women in Manchester on 25 July 2026. We’re looking for a talented female photographer to document this landmark day for 40 inspiring women.

These photographs will be more than just pictures—they will tell the story of a historic first chapter for Jewels of Faith and will appear on our website, social media, and future event materials. The images you capture will be the first visual record of our community coming together in person and will inspire future attendees and showcase the impact of women gathering to uplift, encourage and celebrate one another.

Essential skills and experience

  • Own personal camera equipment

  • Solid editing skills, capable of delivering a clean, polished set of images digitally after the event

  • Experience photographing community events, portraits, celebrations or social gatherings

  • Familiarity with indoor, natural‑light settings (library meeting room environment)

Personal qualities

  • High emotional intelligence; able to move through the space with warmth, discretion and sensitivity

  • Comfortable directing small groups for portrait or group photography

  • Ability to read the room, recognize meaningful moments and make attendees feel comfortable rather than observed

A passion for community

We would love someone who genuinely connects with the heart of what Jewels of Faith is doing—bringing women together to grow, connect and celebrate. Volunteering at a faith‑based, wellbeing or women’s community event is a wonderful addition, though it is not required.

What will you be doing?

On Saturday 25 July 2026, we are hosting our first ever in‑person immersive Women’s Well‑Being & Community Gathering at Beswick Library, Manchester. We want every moment beautifully documented by a female volunteer photographer for 5 hours (11 AM – 2 PM).

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Photograph key moments across the full programme, including the well‑being talk, panel discussion, interactive activity, book signing and closing celebration

  • Capture candid connection moments, group shots, speaker portraits and the general atmosphere of the room

  • Work sensitively alongside the host to ensure only consenting attendees are photographed; consent will be sought at the beginning of the event

  • Stay briefly for any final group or closing shots

  • Deliver edited images digitally to Jewels of Faith within an agreed timeframe (2 weeks)

  • Use your own equipment; a full briefing and photography consent will be confirmed on the day

Photography consent will be sought at the beginning of the event.

Minimum of 3 years experience is required.
