About Our Engineering Team
We rely on our Jetstar Engineering Team to deliver our superior safety standards, up to the second. They’re the trouble-shooters, glitch-fixers and tech-experts who make sure we take to the sky safely. Solving problems. Trying new things. Getting hands-on. Fixing and double checking. It’s all part of the day job as a Jetstar Engineer. You’ll find our Engineers located right across the Jetstar Australia and New Zealand network.
The Opportunity
As a result of our growing fleet we’re keen to welcome more Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME’s) to our team to support increased fleet maintenance requirements. We have opportunities available for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) across multiple locations in Australia and New Zealand, including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns, Auckland and Christchurch. As a Jetstar AME, you’ll carry out maintenance on Jetstar aircraft in a timely and safe manner. You’ll be logical, can see the big picture, and enjoy working in a fast-paced and, at times, unpredictable environment.
Your Focus Will Include
- Conducting rectification, servicing, maintenance and certification on Jetstar aircraft;
- Performing aircraft maintenance and equipment rectification as per manufactures/company specification to our very high standards;
- Working with due care and consideration to safeguard your own health and safety and the health and safety of others;
- Using appropriately, any safety equipment that is issued for personal protection, and to ensure that it is maintained in proper order.

About You
If you bring the following qualifications and experience and wish to relocate to Australia or New Zealand, then we would love to hear from you:
- Has completed a Certificate IV in Aeroskills or EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 license
- AME with experience on A320/1, the 787 and 737 or A330 (NZ)
- AME with Structures / Composite experience.
- Ability to work shift work, including permanent night shift where applicable.
- Is eligible to obtain and maintain a valid AUS ASIC and ADA
Remuneration on offer: All Jetstar Engineers in Australia are paid under the Jetstar Airways Engineering & Maintenance Enterprise Agreement 2023 which can be referenced.
