Ellipse has established itself as a market leader in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data across various sports. We are now seeking an ambitious and personable Lead Editorial Analyst to join our horse racing team. Working in close partnership with Racecourse Media Group (RMG), you will be the driving force behind the adoption and engagement of RaceiQ metrics. This is a unique opportunity for a racing expert to shape how fans, media, and industry professionals consume data. You will act as the bridge between complex data science and mainstream broadcast storytelling, reporting directly to the Managing Director of Racing.

Responsibilities

  • Public Ambassadorship & Brand Advocacy
    • Act as the credible, public face of RaceiQ across TV, podcasts, and industry events.
    • Champion the RaceiQ brand to increase product awareness and understanding across the sport.
    • Educate a wide range of stakeholders, from casual fans to ‘super-user’ professionals, on how to interpret and value new analytics.
  • Broadcast & Editorial Production
    • Live Support: Provide real-time analyst support to ITV and Racing TV production teams, feeding relevant data points and insights to commentators and producers during live broadcasts.
    • Content Creation: Produce engaging editorial output, including weekly race previews, summaries, festival ‘data packs’ and daily tips.
    • Social Media: Support the coverage via RaceiQ’s social media platforms, creating high-impact content that drives digital engagement.
    • Strategy: In conjunction with RMG, lead the development and delivery of the RaceiQ editorial calendar.
