This role is crucial as the company continues to grow globally, ensuring that revenue flows securely and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-lead the global export controls and sanctions program for Jet Brains.
- Monitor and analyze EU and U. S. export controls, sanctions, and enforcement trends.
- Manage classification, licensing, and technology transfer processes.
- Provide guidance on high-risk transactions, strategic deals, mergers and acquisitions, market entry, and onboarding of technology partners.
- Develop and enhance workflows, documentation, and automation for trade compliance.
- Serve as an escalation point for issues related to restricted countries, entities, and high-risk reviews.
- Collaborate with various departments including Legal, Sales, Product, Procurement, Finance, and Security on compliance matters involving cross-border transactions.
- Assist in conducting investigations and reviews related to sanctions and export controls.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in EU and U. S. trade compliance, preferably in a technology or global software context.
- Strong understanding of EU export control regulations, EAR, and sanctions regimes.
- Ability to interpret technical software and AI features for export classification purposes.
- Demonstrated pragmatic and business-oriented judgment along with excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
