JetBrains is seeking a Compliance Manager specializing in Export Controls and Sanctions to join their expanding Compliance department. This role is crucial as the company continues to grow globally, ensuring that revenue flows securely and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-lead the global export controls and sanctions program for JetBrains.
- Monitor and analyze EU and U.S. export controls, sanctions, and enforcement trends.
- Manage classification, licensing, and technology transfer processes.
- Provide guidance on high-risk transactions, strategic deals, mergers and acquisitions, market entry, and onboarding of technology partners.
- Develop and enhance workflows, documentation, and automation for trade compliance.
- Serve as an escalation point for issues related to restricted countries, entities, and high-risk reviews.
- Collaborate with various departments including Legal, Sales, Product, Procurement, Finance, and Security on compliance matters involving cross-border transactions.
- Assist in conducting investigations and reviews related to sanctions and export controls.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in EU and U.S. trade compliance, preferably in a technology or global software context.
- Strong understanding of EU export control regulations, EAR, and sanctions regimes.
- Ability to interpret technical software and AI features for export classification purposes.
- Demonstrated pragmatic and business-oriented judgment along with excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
