We’re looking to hire a Flight Simulator Engineer to join our Jet2 Training Centre – Bradford.

Reporting to the General Manager – Simulator Technical, our Flight Simulator Engineer will be responsible for providing end to end engineering support to ensure the A320, B737-800 and B757-200 Flight Simulators are maintained to a high standard, allowing all associated Aircrew, Engineering and Cabin Crew training to take place.

This role will work across a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Using a wide range of skills to repair, overhaul, calibrate and test these systems to ensure optimum performance is achieved.
  • Rectifying all defects on Flight Simulators, their sub-systems and components as well as visual systems and other training devices.
  • Modify existing hardware and software and carry out preventative maintenance and testing to ensure the Company and regulatory standards are achieved.
  • Update all technical and regulatory documentation as required.

What you’ll have :

  • Experience in the maintenance and operation of flight Simulators, in particular CAE , L-3 (Rediffusion / Thales) and TRU Simulation devices.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements governing flight simulators and the ability to maintain these devices to a high standard.
  • Analytical and diagnostic skills required to operate and maintain technical areas such as electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work pro-actively and on your own initiative.
