Working as part of the Infrastructure Team, you'll combine project-based delivery with 2nd and 3rd line support, helping to enhance and operate a large, complex, and business-critical hybrid infrastructure estate covering compute, storage, virtualisation, containers and cloud services. This is an opportunity to work hands-on with enterprise-scale on-prem and AWS cloud platforms, influence technical direction, and contribute to continuous improvement across Jet2's infrastructure services. The platforms you support play a direct role in the availability, resilience and security of Jet2's operations, making engineering quality and reliability essential.
As our IT Infrastructure Engineer, you'll have access to a wide range of benefits including:

What you'll be doing:
- Designing, planning and implementing scalable, secure and resilient infrastructure solutions, including: On-prem and AWS-based IaaS (compute, storage and networking) & Virtualisation and container platforms.
- Administering and supporting Kubernetes platforms, including cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, security and integration with underlying infrastructure.
- Operating, maintaining and optimising AWS environments, ensuring infrastructure is delivered in line with security, resilience and availability best practices, as well as cost-effective operation.
- Designing and supporting infrastructure with appropriate availability, resilience and disaster recovery considerations to meet business and operational requirements.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure incidents, including cloud-related issues, escalating where appropriate to senior engineers or third-party vendors.
- Providing technical guidance, mentoring and knowledge-sharing to IT Operations and other technology teams, contributing to improved standards and ways of working.
- Creating and maintaining clear, accurate documentation, including infrastructure designs, configurations, standards, policies and operating procedures.
- Supporting and developing automation and Infrastructure-as-Code approaches across on-prem and cloud platforms to improve consistency, reliability and efficiency.
- Participating in the on-call rota (minimum of 1 in 4) and supporting planned out-of-hours work when required.
What you'll have:
- Strong experience administering Windows Server, including: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
- Experience supporting Linux servers (Red Hat and Oracle).
- Hands-on experience administering Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
- Strong operational experience with Microsoft tooling, including SCOM, SCCM, DPM, WSUS, Intune and Microsoft Defender.
- Practical experience supporting AWS public cloud infrastructure (IaaS), including core compute, storage and networking concepts.
- A solid understanding of patch management, vulnerability management and security best practices across hybrid infrastructure environments.
