The Jet2.com Crew Planning team plans all of our Pilots and Cabin crew rosters, so they know where they need to be and when to take our Customers on Holiday.

This is an area of the business where we aim to strike a balance between the needs of our crew colleagues and the business.

As our Apprentice, you will work through an Institute for Apprenticeship & Technical Education (IfATE)-approved Level 3 Transport Scheduler Apprenticeship, which is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to become a competent member of our Crew Scheduling teams.

Elements in which the Crew Planning Apprentice will be trained and assessed include but are not limited to:

Following successful completion of the scheme and an End Point Assessment by an Independent Assessment Organisation, you will receive a certificate of completion for a Level 3 Transport Scheduler Apprenticeship, evidencing competence in a Transport Scheduling environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with the planning of all Flight Crew Line training for new entrant colleagues and ongoing recurrent training requirements.
  • Producing and delivering crew rosters on time, meeting monthly deadlines to ensure crew are in the right place at the right time.
  • Producing rosters that comply with all Flight Time Limitation and Crew contractual requirements.
  • Using roster data to ensure fair and balanced rosters for all Crew colleagues.
  • Supporting the management of Annual Leave requirements for all Crew colleagues.
  • Assisting the Crew Planning team with additional tasks as requested, and other duties as required by management.

What you’ll have:

  • Aged 18+ and hold a valid Full UK Driving Licence.
  • A GCSE certificate Grade 4-9 (or equivalent) in English & Maths.
  • An educational qualification in aviation studies or work experience in aviation would be advantageous.
  • A strong desire to learn and self-develop, with a strong work ethic and excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to meet tight deadlines.

Working hours will be as required for apprenticeship training and assessments.
