We're now recruiting a Technical Publications Author to join our Flight Operations Technicalteam.

As we continue to grow our fleet, network and operation, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in producing and maintaining the operational manuals that support our pilots, instructors and operational colleagues every day.

Reporting to the Technical Publications Manager - Flight Operations, you'll be responsible for ensuring our operational publications remain accurate, compliant and readily available to support safe and efficient flight operations.

What you’ll be doing

  • Producing, editing and publishing operational manuals such as the Flight Crew Operating Manual (FCOM), Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Quick Reference Handbook (QRH) using specialist authoring software.
  • Reviewing Airbus, Boeing and regulatory documentation and incorporating updates into company publications.
  • Maintaining document quality, consistency and version control across a large suite of operational manuals.
  • Working collaboratively with subject matter experts and technical teams to ensure documentation remains accurate, aligned and up to date.
  • Responding to manual-related queries and providing guidance to colleagues across the business.
  • Supporting continuous improvements to authoring, publication and document control processes.

What you’ll have

We're looking for a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality technical documentation.

It isessentialthat you have

  • Excellent written English, grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to interpret complex technical information and present it clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach when working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience within aviation, technical publishing or another highly regulated industry would be highly advantageous, as would knowledge of commercial airline operations, familiarity with UK CAA and EASA regulations, and experience using XML authoring tools, document management systems or structured content publishing platforms.
