What will you do in the role?
As an Engineering Purchasing Apprentice, you’ll gain hands‑on experience while working towards a Level 3 Procurement Apprenticeship (minimum) over up to 24 months, including a recognised qualification with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS). You’ll support the team with day‑to‑day purchasing activities and learn how procurement supports the wider business. This will include:
- Building relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Supporting sourcing activities to ensure best value for the business
- Raising and managing purchase orders
- Monitoring stock levels and helping resolve any supply issues
- Supporting cost comparisons and benchmarking activities
- Ensuring all purchasing follows company processes and approvals
- Developing a strong understanding of Engineering and Procurement operations by working across multiple purchasing functions
What do we need from you?
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above (Please ensure these are listed on your CV/application form clearly)
- A genuine interest in Procurement, business or supply chain
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- You must not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject
- You must have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years
