We have a great opportunity to join us as a Procurement Manager, procuring across a broad range of categories and working in collaboration with colleagues across Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. You’ll work closely with Senior Stakeholders including across our Marketing & Digital/Ecommerce teams, helping shape the strategy and lead tender and negotiation processes. What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll coordinate and lead the creation and execution of strategy across specified category areas.
- Maintain excellent market knowledge and apply this to an understanding of Procurement’s customer requirements.
- You’ll build relationships of influence within Jet2.com and Jet2holidays and externally with key suppliers.
- Leverage relationships to drive improved service and cost reduction.
- You’ll be accountable for delivery of all commercial and contractual agreements within area of responsibility.
- You’ll provide comprehensive advice, insight, guidance and service on best practice within category areas.
- Escalation point for category issues and sets category direction and strategy for Performance and Commercial Contract Management with relevant senior managers and budget holders.
- You’ll own and drive Supplier Relationship Management across assigned category areas.
- You’ll encourage and champion category development and supplier innovations.
What you’ll have:
- Experience within Marketing & Digital/Ecommerce categories and managing high budget contracts would be highly desirable.
- Ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally and be a great negotiator.
- Experience of line management would also be highly desirable.
- Broad and deep knowledge of procurement.
- A high degree of market awareness, with demonstrable experience of innovative approaches to procuring services and managing relationships with suppliers.
- Ability to think broadly about end-to-end procurement and optimise enhanced value within the category.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- An excellent communicator, with selling skills and the gravitas to build credible peer relationships with decision makers.
- Ability to act as an intelligent customer in dealings with suppliers and engage in meaningful, challenging conversations with both colleagues and suppliers.
- Solution oriented – looks for opportunities and finds new ways of overcoming problems.
- Ability to formulate strategy and actionable deliverables.
- Able to translate big picture approaches to practical implementation plans.
- MCIPS qualification would be desirable but not essential.
