At Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, we’re continuing our exciting business transformation journey, and we’re looking for a highly capable Senior Operations Manager to help us shape the future of our Retail Operations Centre in Middlewich. This is a pivotal leadership role with full accountability for the day‑to‑day running of our bonded, fully automated warehouse facility, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and unwavering regulatory compliance while inspiring a high‑performing team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead a high‑tech automated operation, maximising throughput, accuracy and on‑time despatch.
- Drive key metrics across Security, Safety, Productivity, Stock accuracy and Customer Satisfaction.
- Analyse performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure full regulatory compliance, including CAA and HMRC bonded‑site requirements.
- Manage resource planning, daily operational reviews and stakeholder updates.
- Inspire, develop and engage a high‑performing team, promoting a culture of accountability and improvement, in line with the Jet2 ‘Take Me There’ values.
- Champion Health & Safety, Security and Environmental standards.
- Direct line management of 4 Shift Operations Managers and indirect management of up to 200 Warehouse Colleagues (including Operatives, Team Leaders and First Line Managers).
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading high-performance, multi-level teams in automated warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of WMS/WCS systems and data‑driven performance management.
- Proven success delivering Lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in regulated environments and bonded‑site compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication and people‑management skills.
- Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to adapt and lead through change.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness.
