The Operations Control Centre (OCC) within Jet2.com is one of the busiest areas to work within the company. It’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year! This is the area of the business where the decisions made have a direct impact on our Customers, Aircraft and Colleagues. With this comes a lot of responsibility but also a lot of pride. We’ve an exciting new opportunity for our Operations Control Deputy Manager to join us. Created as part of the continued evolution and strengthening of our OCC leadership structure, this role will sit at the heart of operational decision-making, resilience, and performance.

What you’ll be doing:
- Deputise for the Operations Control Manager, supporting departmental leadership and operational decision-making.
- Support the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of Operations Control activities, including escalation management during disruption.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development support to Operations Control Duty Managers.
- Lead projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the OCC.
- Monitor operational performance, compliance and safety standards, promoting a strong Just Culture ethos.
- Act as a key interface across the wider OCC and provide operational recommendations to senior management.
- Support onboarding, competence management and succession planning within the team.
- Office‑based (Monday to Friday) at Low Fare Finder House, Yeadon, with occasional operational shift and on‑call cover.
What you’ll have:
- Previous experience within an airline Operations Control / OCC environment is preferred.
- Strong operational decision‑making capability under pressure.
- Experience leading, coaching or developing operational teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset.
- A collaborative leadership style with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
