Legal Claims Executive

As our new Legal Claims Executive , you’ll have a major impact on helping us achieve our goal. You’ll assist in the handling of flight delay claims (EC Regulation 261/2004) and make accurate compensation payments to customers in line with the Regulation. Full training is given by our experienced Legal Services team.

What you’ll be doing:

• You\’ll assist in the management of litigated flight delay claims, including but not limited to: reviewing and analysing flight delay reports/assessments; drafting defences; interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements; reviewing skeleton arguments; corresponding with claimant solicitors; and liaising with defendant’s counsel and the courts.
• You\’ll produce high quality written work at all times.
• You\’ll produce and monitor work schedules and timetables to ensure deadlines are met.
• You\’ll assist the EU261 non-litigated claims team and Injuryand Illness claims teamto respond to pre-action correspondence, including to Regulatory bodies, when required.
• You\’ll be fully conversant with our Terms and Conditions, legal obligations, and company procedures.
• You\’ll provide regular, informative reporting of claims data or other feedback to the business as required.
• You\’ll communicate effectively and professionally to our internal and external customers, advisers and suppliers.

What you’ll have:

• You\’ll have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• You\’ll have the ability to work accurately under pressure and under tight deadlines.
• You\’ll have experience in a customer service, legal services, or paralegal role.
• You\’ll have experience using claims management systems (not essential)
