What you’ll be doing

  • Deputise for the Operations Control Manager, supporting departmental leadership and operational decision-making.
  • Support the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of Operations Control activities, including escalation management during disruption.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development support to Operations Control Duty Managers.
  • Lead projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the OCC.
  • Monitor operational performance, compliance, and safety standards, promoting a strong Just Culture ethos.
  • Act as a key interface across the wider OCC and provide operational recommendations to senior management.
  • Support onboarding, competence management, and succession planning within the team.
  • Office-based (Monday to Friday) at Low Fare Finder House, Yeadon, with occasional operational shift and on-call cover

What you'll have

  • Previous experience within an airline Operations Control / OCC environment is preferred.
  • Strong operational decision-making capability under pressure.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or developing operational teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, improvement-focused mindset.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
