The Tool Stores Supervisor will take responsibility for the direction of the Tool Stores Team, ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard and that requirements are actioned appropriate to the level of priority. What will you do in the role? Our Tool Stores Supervisor is responsible for managing the Tool Stores Team, including the control of the day-to-day requirements of tool control, and ensuring any operational requirements are prioritised effectively. You will also:
- Supervise the Tool Stores function, ensuring that it operates to high standards at all times with regards to aviation safety.
- Supervise routine inspections of aircraft tooling, conduct minor maintenance, and ensure any faulty tooling is efficiently and cost effectively dispatched for repair and/or calibration.
- Ensure all work carried out is in line with Jet2.com engineering quality standards.
- Liaise with internal and external departments/suppliers.
- Effectively utilise the team to promptly and efficiently action requirements appropriate to the level of priority.
- Take responsibility for any health and safety, welfare, training, and HR related matters.
- Coach and mentor colleagues.
- Ensure that the Tooling Storekeepers oversee the handling, packaging, and storage of dangerous and hazardous goods within legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure relevant Tooling Change Bulletins and Tooling Equipment bulletins are actioned appropriately.
- Uphold the Tooling departments Mission Statement of ‘Right Tool, Right Time, Right Place’.
What are the key skills / experience you’ll already have? Our Tool Store Supervisor will ideally have proven experience supervising a team or have held a similar position of responsibility in a busy and demanding environment. You will also:
- Have excellent organisation and communication skills.

- An adaptable and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
