Overview
IT Infrastructure Reliability & Patching Engineer role at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. You will be undertaking 2nd Line Support (including Patch Management) of the IT Infrastructure across Jet2, including Windows & Linux Servers (circa 3000), Storage (both Primary and Secondary) and Client devices (circa 5000).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain the reliability of Server and Storage Infrastructure by monitoring & responding to alerts, running daily checks & tests, and troubleshooting incidents.
- Script packaged installation of patches, software, and configuration changes, including PowerShell automation to improve patch management and software deployment processes.
- Daily monitoring of system backups to ensure adherence to policy, plus the physical management of backup media.
What You’ll Have
- Excellent understanding and experience administrating Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP) and Linux (RedHat & Oracle).
- Solid understanding of industry best practices for Patch Management.
- Good experience working with IT Infrastructure Management tooling (e.g. Microsoft SCOM, SCCM, DPM, WSUS, Intune, Defender, Patch My PC).
- Good experience working with Windows Hyper-V.
