Jet2.com is proud to deliver a VIP service to our customers. We have a fantastic opportunity as a Customer Helper-Dispatcher at Edinburgh Airport! As a member of our Ground Operations Team, our Dispatch colleagues play an essential role in ensuring the safe and efficient turnaround of our aircraft as well as taking on customer facing duties, assisting our customers with the check-in process, managing queues and offering assistance as they arrive at the airport.
What will you do as a Dispatcher?
- Facilitate our aircraft turnaround, working with all teams involved in the turnaround, including Ground Operations colleagues, third party providers and our Flight Deck and Cabin Crew Teams.
- Perform pre-flight check requirements, preparing accurate loading documentation including trim calculations and loading instructions.
- Work to legal regulations and company requirements; operate all equipment in a safe manner and maintain a clear and safe working environment for you and your colleagues.
- Welcome customers as they arrive for check-in, offering assistance and support at both self-service kiosks and manned check-in desks, while also managing queues efficiently.
- Ensure the delivery of an effective and friendly service that meets the needs of our customers and promotes our brand values.
This role is available on a 37.5 hour per week fixed term contract basis. As we are always on hand to help our customers, this position involves working on a rostered shift basis and requires flexibility. Shifts will cover our 24/7 operation and will include working weekends and bank holidays.
What Skills/Experience Will I Need?
- Previous experience within a Ground Operations/Airside environment.
- An understanding of the technical aspects of the aircraft turnaround process.
- A positive and conscientious approach.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to organise and prioritise effectively to ensure the safety of our customers, yourself and your team.
- For all our airside roles you must hold a full UK Driving Licence and the ability to pass a Medical, administered by the airport.
