Join to apply for the Baggage Handler - Bristol role at Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. As a member of our Ground Operations Team at Bristol Airport, our Baggage Handlers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of customers’ luggage.
What will you do in the role?
- Be Present: Undertake accurate loading and allocation of baggage from the Bag Hall to the correct aircraft. Unload inbound baggage items for return flights, ensuring correct distribution onto Baggage Carousels.
- Take Responsibility: Drive our airside vehicles and transport baggage to our aircraft with safety in mind and in line with Service Level Agreements.
- Create Memories: Handle customers’ luggage with care and ensure we work effectively to allow customers to depart on time.
- Work as One Team: Support operation and colleagues in times of disruption and delays.
What will you need?
- Understand the importance of safety and accountability.
- Be comfortable working in confined spaces when loading luggage into aircraft.
- Remain calm and focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment and during disruptions.
- Be adaptable, self‑motivated, and enjoy working as part of a team.
In order to work safely in an airside environment and operate our vehicles, candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence and be able to pass a Medical, administered by the airport.

- £15.17 per hour, plus an additional £3.79 per hour allowance for unsociable hours (11:00pm - 04:59am).

Contract Details
- Fixed Term Contract until November 2026. Potential to return for Summer 2027.
- 20 or 30 hour per week contracts available.
- Rostered shifts: 4 shifts in a row followed by 2 rest days; patterns may vary. Extra rest days may be added during the season. Rosters are provided four weeks in advance.
