We are seeking a HGV & Van Mechanic to join our Darlington depot. You will be working closely with our transport manager to ensure the working function of our class 2 vehicles. This position involves both the planned and reactive maintenance of the vehicles. Join a new and expanding team today!
More about the role:
- Monitoring service and inspection requirements
- Working on a variety of vans, HGV vehicles and their fitted equipment, tankers, tippers and fixed jetting equipment
- Undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Carry out six weekly vehicle inspections
- General servicing and pre-planned maintenance
- Reactive maintenance as required
- MOT preparation / correction of running defects
- You must work to DVSA standard
- Provide relevant information to the transport manager for any parts or equipment to be ordered.
About you:
- Minimum NVQ 2 or 3 years’ experience
- HGV license C required
- Light van maintenance experience preferable but not essential
