Jesus College Cambridge are seeking to appoint a Carpenter and Joiner to join our busy Estates Team to undertake day to day maintenance services and skilled tasks primarily associated with carpentry and joinery, on all College properties and buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring the condition of college joinery, reporting the need for minor or major repairs and carrying out routine repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform joinery repairs.
  • Conduct basic installations, e.g. domestic kitchen fittings.
  • Undertake small and medium‑scale carpentry and joinery projects, such as manufacturing joinery items (bookcases, cabinets, doors, windows, gates).
  • Help maintain the carpentry workshop, tools and surrounding area.
  • Monitor stocks of materials.
  • Carry out general maintenance tasks as required.

Location: Jesus College Cambridge – all College properties and buildings.

Salary: £34,289 per annum
