Jesuit Missions is on the lookout for a Fundraising Engagement Officer to join its team!
As the work and ambition of Jesuit Missions evolves and grows, werecognisethe need to grow and diversify its income and support from within and beyond its traditional Jesuit community base, while remaining rooted in its mission and values.
The Fundraising Engagement Office is a new position to lead this growth by recruiting new supporters and developing community-based supporter-led fundraising opportunities, that generates income and builds the future donor pipeline for Jesuit Missions.
The post holder will lead on supporter acquisition, community fundraising, workplace fundraising and volunteer fundraising, whilst working collaboratively across the organisation to maximise fundraising opportunities arising from parish, schools and engagement activities.
The Fundraising Engagement Officer will play a key role in introducing new supporters to Jesuit Missions and creating pathways into Individual Giving, Regular Giving, Major Donor and Legacy fundraising.

Jesuit Missions (JM) is the international mission and development organisation of the Jesuits in Britain. For over 60 years, we have partnered with communities in some of the world’s most vulnerable regions to promote social justice and human dignity. While historically connected with Guyana, India, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, our work now spans the globe, supporting initiatives where more than 14,000 Jesuits and countless lay collaborators serve. JM delivers a wide range of programmes in low-income countries, including:
- Supporting 300,000 people in India to access basic rights, including an anti - human trafficking project in Darjeeling.
- Driving an environmental programme in Madagascar, featuring youth - led advocacy for climate action.
- Advancing education, women’s empowerment, agricultural sustainability, and skills training in South Sudan, one of the poorest nations in the world.
Our mission reflects the Jesuit commitment “to serve the faith through the promotion of justice.” We work closely with partners in the Global South on campaigns for climate justice and human rights.
Location and Compensation
Location: Wimbledon, London (remote working will be considered across the UK)
Team members are able to work from home up to 40% of their weekly hours after successful completion of their probation period.
Reports to: Fundraising Manager
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The role will include occasional evening or weekend work for which TOIL will be given.
Salary: c. £32,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
Holiday: 33 days including Bank Holidays
Pension: 7.5 % employer contribution dependent on 2.5% employee contribution
Key Responsibilities
Supporter & Donor Acquisition
- Identify and develop ways to recruit new supporters and donors to the charity through the development of fundraising resources, cases for support, toolkits and donor journeys that encourage long - term engagement with Jesuit Missions.
- Work with other JM staff and Jesuit Works and communities to identify ways to encourage new supporters to financially support the work of Jesuit Missions and its partners.
Community, Workplace & Volunteer Fundraising
- Recruit, coordinate and support fundraising volunteers, community fundraisers and challenge event participants, helping them to maximise their fundraising impact.
- Develop and promote supporter-led fundraising opportunities that recruit new supporters and generate income, including challenge events, in-memory giving, tribute funds, peer-to-peer fundraising and workplace fundraising.
- Identify and promote workplace fundraising and employer matched giving opportunities.
Schools & Parish Fundraising Support
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to support fundraising opportunities arising from schools, parish and community engagement activity.
- Provide fundraising resources, supporter journeys and fundraising guidance to maximise supporter acquisition and income generation.
Supporter Stewardship, Database & Reporting
- Support the stewardship of newly acquired supporters, ensuring a positive fundraising experience and encouraging progression into Individual Giving and Regular Giving programmes.
- Maintain accurate fundraising records within Raiser's Edge, support reporting and analysis, and monitor supporter acquisition and fundraising performance.
Any other duties to fulfil the overall purpose of the role.
