PURPOSE OF POSITION: Support the Principal OOAK and High Jewellery Designer, as well as the wider design team, in the development, administration, and execution of one-of-a-kind and high jewellery pieces and collections. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong visual and organisational skills, and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, gemstones, and luxury design.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Principle Designer with development of OOAK and High Jewellery concepts from initial research through to final production.
  • Prepare design presentations, sketches, CAD briefs and other supporting visual materials.
  • Conduct research into materials, historical references, craftsmanship techniques and market trends.
  • Liaise with the Workshop, Product Development and Production Departments to ensure clear communication of design intent.
  • Assist on Bespoke OOAK projects when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of designs, technical specifications and project timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Degree or equivalent Qualification in Jewellery Design or related discipline.
  • Experience: Previous experience within the luxury jewellery environment preferred.
  • Understanding of Jewellery construction.
  • Experience supporting design development and production processes.
  • Strong Adobe Creative skills; knowledge of CAD processes advantageous.
  • Gouache painting skills are a plus.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
