The Role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Lead to join our team at our Port Talbot facility. Reporting to senior management, you will oversee a team of welding and quality inspectors, ensuring all aspects of quality control and assurance in welding and fabrication are fully satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as part of the wider management and supervision team
  • Understanding and following inspection and test plans
  • Maintaining traceability throughout all projects
  • Managing and overseeing NDT operations
  • Liaising directly with client quality teams
  • Preparation and management of quality documentation
  • Mentoring and directing a team of welding and quality inspectors

Qualifications

Essential: CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector or higher

Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a QA/QC role within the engineering or construction industry
  • Proven ability to develop and follow inspection and test plans
  • Experience working with ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • Previous experience in a team-leading or supervisory capacity
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across client and internal teams
