Multifamily Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, always ensuring a high level of service. They are also responsible for motivating high-performing teams to maximize the performance of the property.
Essential Job Duties:
- Ensuring the smooth running of our community in a fast-paced environment.
- Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
- Providing superior customer service and communication to our residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
- Completing lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards.
- Tracking and evaluating advertising and all client traffic.
- Developing, mentoring, leading, and managing a high-performing, cohesive team, including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel, in order to maximize their engagement and minimize turnover.
- Driving revenues with a thorough understanding and analysis of competition and development of creative marketing programs.
- Leading by example and instilling, maintaining, and modeling Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company.
- Supervising day-to-day operations of the entire on-site team, ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed.
- Maintaining effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching team as necessary.
- Maintaining residents’ files in accordance with company’s standards.
- Maintaining a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
- Managing and maintaining all aspects of overall community budget and finances.
- Working with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met.
Competencies:
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills.
- General office, bookkeeping and sales skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Determining leasing opportunities of staff and working on goal setting, improving the performance of each staff member.
- Supervising day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that all C&W policies and procedures are followed.
- Being able to manage a team.
- Performing any other related duties as required or assigned.
Important Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Real Estate License preferred.
Important Experience:
- 3+ years of on-site Multifamily Property Management experience.
- 3+ years of Management experience.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Regularly required to travel.

The employee must be able to travel up to 15% of the time. Travel may vary in frequency and duration. The employee must demonstrate the ability to exert up to 25 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds frequently, and/or 25 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role. The compensation for the position is: $93,500.00 – $110,000.00.
