Interested in building a career in international development and humanitarian action? Jersey Overseas Aid (JOA) and CAFOD are offering an 18-month paid Programme Associate placement for Jersey residents. This unique opportunity provides hands‑on experience with both a donor agency and an international NGO, in the UK and overseas. This is a challenging but highly supported programme, offering extensive mentoring, training and practical experience.
What’s on offer?
- Phase 1 (6 months, Jersey): Work with JOA’s small team in St Helier to learn how aid is programmed, funded, and monitored.
- Phase 2 (6 months, London): Join CAFOD’s UK team, gaining experience in areas such as programme design, advocacy, fundraising, and impact measurement.
- Phase 3 (6 months, overseas): After security training, support a CAFOD programme team working on a development or relief project for six months overseas).
By the end of the scheme, you will have the skills and experience to launch a professional career in the humanitarian and development sector.
