This role offers the opportunity to develop broad operational expertise within a high‑performing team, contribute to critical infrastructure management, and play a visible part in maintaining the Island's energy security. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds who bring strong technical capability, sound judgement, and a commitment to safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Lead or support 33kV system restoration following outages, coordinate emergency response actions, and act as a key point of contact during critical incidents, including liaison with Emergency Services.
- Provide first response to distribution network faults, support the Distribution Control Engineer where required, and manage out‑of‑hours emergency calls, ensuring timely communication with standby personnel and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with operational colleagues in Jersey and with external partners including Guernsey Electricity, the Energy Recovery Facility, and French interconnector counterparts, ensuring effective coordination of importation and supply activities.
- Ensure full compliance with Company policies, Health, Safety & Environment requirements, Energy Division Safety Rules, and contractual obligations, maintaining accurate operational, environmental, and personnel records.
- Monitor site security and access at La Collette, manage service supplies to the Energy Recovery Facility (including treated water and fuel), and support operational liaison with ERF personnel.
- Maintain broad operational capability across generation and distribution disciplines, contribute to the development of colleagues, and uphold the highest standards of professionalism, performance, and environmental stewardship.
