We are currently recruiting for a Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Technician to join Thames Water on a permanent basis.
This position will be responsible for R&M across our South London network, with occasional travel to North London when required.
- Base location: South West London – Hogsmill – Kingston. (KT1 3BW)
- Working pattern: 45 hours a week on a shift pattern, including a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.
- Full UK Driving Licence and Street works (NRSWA)/SSSTS qualification required.
What you’ll be doing as a Repair & Maintenance Technician:
You will be the Leader of a two-person R&M Team. Ensuring that all work undertaken is completed to the correct safety and quality standards.
What should you bring to the role?
- You will have experience or training in repair and maintenance in the water industry.
- You must be able to meet the physical demands of the role with the ability to work outdoors in all weathers.
- Be competent in using computers and other IT equipment.
- Use your initiative and problem-solve where repairs are required.
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical messages in a simple way.
- Have a can-do, positive attitude, remaining open to new ideas and change
- Be self-motivated and confident in completing tasks to the best of your ability
- Advantageous if you have an EUSR Water Hygiene card, Service Avoidance L2 and/or a First Aid qualification.

- Offering a salary from £34,300 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- Annual Leave: 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with the length of service. (plus bank holidays)
- Van and Full PPE will be provided.
- Performance Related Pay Plan (PRPP): Max (of salary) = 6%. On target (of salary) = 3%.
- Pension: Maximum of 12% – 2x employee contribution.
