We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Executive dedicated to assisting the delivery of group communications to both internal and external audiences. This role plays an important part in helping build and protect JE’s brand reputation, while supporting collaborators and community engagement across the island. You will work closely with the marketing and communications team to provide coordination and deliver support for marketing, communications, digital, community, and event activities. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional to gain broad, hands‑on experience in a busy, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support procurement activities by handling purchase requisitions and balancing invoices, coordinating with suppliers and internal collaborators as required.
  • Assist with monthly reporting on marketing spend against budget.
  • Liaise with third‑party agencies to support the efficient delivery of marketing activity.
  • Carry out regular social and traditional media monitoring, raising issues and insights where appropriate.
  • Organise imagery, design material and brand assets within shared storage systems.
  • Support the procurement, creation, delivery and storage of marketing assets and merchandise.
  • Lead and coordinate the JE community initiative 100 Projects That Matter, including handling quarterly applications, grading processes, applicant communications and promotion of community activity.
  • Support the Digital Marketing Lead and work with Customer Care on day‑to‑day customer social media interactions when required.
  • Assist the Community Engagement Lead with collaborator engagement activities, advertorials and awards.
  • Manage roadworks communications, including digital platforms and website updates for operational messaging.
  • Support the organisation and logistics of customer and community events, such as pop‑ups in St Helier and the Jersey Boat Show.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Marketing and Communications team.

  • Strong administration skills, ideally within marketing, communications or events.
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Strong IT and digital skills, including social media platforms.
  • Collaborative, with the ability to work optimally across teams and with external partners.
  • Good organisational, facilitation and project coordination skills.
  • Creative approach to problem solving and content support.
  • Experience & Knowledge
    • Entry‑level marketing or communications experience, or a strong interest in starting a career in this field.
    • Interest in, or experience with, social media and digital communications.
    • Basic working knowledge of tools such as Microsoft 365, Canva, content management systems (e.g. Umbraco) and social media monitoring tools.
  • Qualifications & Personal Attributes
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
    • Self‑motivated with a strong focus on delivery and quality.
    • Positive, flexible and professional approach to work.
