The main purpose of this role is to provide day to day management of the Service Delivery Resource Jointing teams ensuring value for money, workforce efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high safety standards whilst upholding the Company's purpose, vision and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line management and supervision of all Resource Jointing Teams, ensuring that appropriate tools, equipment and transport are available at all times.
  • Ensure that all team members are fully engaged and monitor progress against training programmes where applicable.
  • Provision of appropriate coaching and mentoring to the team where required.
  • Participate in weekly programming / performance meetings, identifying available resource and ensuring that work is available and achievable for all teams on a weekly and daily basis.
  • Ensure that weekly programme is fully allocated and that the required performance levels of all teams are met.
  • Organise jointing and excavation teams for response to third party cable damage and faults and re‐organise work following absence or resource being re‐directed to faults.
  • Ensure all work‐related documentation is issued and completed as required.
  • Act as daily point of contact for contractors.
  • Manage craftsmen / technicians and contractors working on Services activities, ensuring compliance to JE standards and adherence to contract via monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Assist in the development of Energy Division Procedures associated with Construction, Overhead and Fault activities ensuring that appropriate formal procedures are understood and practiced across the Construction Aspire and Faults team.
  • Provide first line response to cable damages and faults.
  • Ensure appropriate compliance with HS&E, Company procedures, Distribution Safety Rules, and Industry best practice, undertaking regular audits to demonstrate compliance.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Good general IT skills.
  • Manual Leadership and Supervisory skills.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant JE Distribution Procedures.
  • Good analytical and problem‐solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Significant experience in Electrical Distribution.
  • C&G (Level 3) in Electrical Distribution or equivalent.
  • Relevant H&S qualification.
  • Driving Licence.
