As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be an ambassador for Thames Water, representing our values and providing first-class customer service. You will be part of the Logistics Delivery team, operating a fleet of Potable Water Tankers to support reactive and planned work, including taking water samples before loading and discharging into hydrants or reservoirs.
This role requires following established processes and procedures. You will drive both HGV 1 and HGV 2 vehicles, with manual and automatic gearboxes, along with support vehicles such as Welfare vans.

- Working an average of 38/45 hours per week.
- Based at Farnham STW.
- Full training and benefits package included.
Shift Patterns available:
- 45 hours/week – 4 on, 4 off, 5 on, 3 off – £49,599
- 38 hours/week – 4 on, 4 off – £42,435
What should you bring to the role?
- Experience as a Class 1 HGV Driver.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including days and nights.
- No more than 6 penalty points; no DR or IN convictions.
- Full driver CPC and valid Tachograph card.
- Knowledge of Transport Law and the Road Traffic Act.
- Understanding of Drivers\’ Hours rules and Working Time regulations.
