In this pivotal role, you will support islanders in transitioning to low‑carbon heating technologies by undertaking detailed property surveys and developing technical specifications for a range of electric products and services. Your expertise will help make electricity the simplest, most affordable, and most trusted energy choice for homes and businesses, while ensuring solutions are practical, compliant, and aligned with company standards and strategic objectives. This role offers the opportunity to combine technical capability with community impact - supporting the delivery of reliable, future‑ready energy solutions while consistently reflecting the Company's vision, values, and commitment to a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to promote low carbon technologies, including electric heating, EV charging, solar PV and battery storage, providing clear and accessible guidance.
  • Assess and specify heating and electrification solutions for domestic properties, ensuring compliance, efficiency and suitability.
  • Conduct desktop assessments and in‑home technical surveys, maintaining a professional, inclusive and safety‑focused approach.
  • Develop tailored system designs and specifications that meet individual customer requirements and performance objectives.
  • Ensure proposed solutions deliver efficient installation, strong system performance and cost‑effective operation.
  • Support the quotation and sales process with accurate technical input and design validation.
  • Act as the technical link between sales and delivery teams, ensuring smooth project handover and execution.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date CRM records, documenting customer interactions, technical data and follow‑up actions.
  • Prepare clear, professional written proposals and quotations, presenting technical information in an understandable format.
  • Uphold high standards of safety, regulatory compliance, professionalism and environmental responsibility while contributing to team capability and performance.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Extensive knowledge of domestic and commercial energy technologies, including their practical application and grid connection requirements.
  • A mechanical or electrical qualification, with a sound understanding of plumbing; experience in heating systems and air source heat pump technologies is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confident IT literacy and the ability to present clearly to customers and stakeholders.
  • The ability to positively influence and build effective working relationships across a range of stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with a structured and solution‑focused approach.
  • Self‑motivated and results‑driven, with a commitment to delivering high‑quality, customer‑focused outcomes.
  • Competence in developing technical installation specifications, with an understanding of grid connection principles.
  • A full, current driving licence and willingness to travel around the Island as required.
