The Role
You\’ll be part of a team that ensures every service is delivered with dignity and respect. This position is well-suited to individuals who want to work occasionally and contribute in a meaningful way, especially during peak periods or when extra ceremonial support is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting at funeral services – bearing coffins, setting up venues, and supporting mourners
- Driving and operating specialist vehicles such as hearses and limousines
- Representing Dignity Funerals with professionalism and empathy
- Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day of the service
- Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct, and service delivery
About You
- Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and professionalism
- Understands the importance of presentation and discretion
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying
- Holder of a Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours, including short‑notice availability
- Comfortable with tasks that involve direct contact with the deceased
