We're looking for compassionate individuals to join our team on a casual basis, supporting families during funeral services and behind the scenes. This flexible opportunity is ideal for those who want to make a difference in their community while working around other commitments.
The Role
You'll be part of a team that ensures every service is delivered with dignity and respect. This position is well-suited to individuals who are looking to work occasionally and contribute in a meaningful way, especially during peak periods or when extra ceremonial support is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting at funeral services - bearing coffins, setting up venues, and supporting mourners
- Driving and operating specialist vehicles such as hearses and limousines
- Representing Dignity Funerals with professionalism and empathy
- Providing respectful, discreet support to families on the day of the service
- Maintaining ceremonial standards in appearance, conduct, and service delivery
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and professionalism
- Understands the importance of presentation and discretion
- Is physically capable of manual handling tasks, including lifting and carrying
- Holds a Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Is reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours, including short-notice availability
- Is comfortable with tasks that involve direct contact with the deceased
No previous experience in funeral care is required - full training and uniform will be provided.
