THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN PORTSMOUTH, VA. At Jered LLC, a PAR Systems Company and leader in engineered solutions for naval and maritime systems, Senior Fabricators are the cornerstone of our commitment to excellence. We are expanding our Welding Fabrication Team and looking for highly skilled professionals who bring precision, pride, and deep technical expertise to their craft. In this role, you’ll apply advanced welding techniques, including GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW, to fabricate mission‑critical components to exacting MILSPEC standards.

Whether fitting intricate assemblies or mentoring junior fabricators, your craftsmanship directly supports the performance and reliability of systems used by the U.S. Navy and global maritime partners. Success Criteria

As a Senior Fabricator, you’ll spend most of your time fabricating, fitting, and welding intricate steel structures using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW techniques. The most successful team members bring expert knowledge, an eye for precision, and a strong safety‑first mindset. They don’t just meet expectations, they model best practices and elevate the performance of everyone around them. You’ll work in a high‑output manufacturing environment where precision, collaboration, and adaptability are key. Challenges include maintaining certification across multiple weld processes, troubleshooting equipment, interpreting complex drawings, and mentoring junior fabricators. Success means hitting production goals without sacrificing quality and building a team culture rooted in learning and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of advanced welding experience in a heavy industrial environment
  • Current certifications in GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and welding symbols
  • Skilled in MILSPEC‑level fabrication
  • Able to pass advanced weld qualification tests, including 6G pipe
  • Proficient with forklifts, cranes, precision measurement tools, and GD&T
  • US person

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical school diploma or advanced fabrication certifications
  • SAW welding and setup experience
  • Master Rigger certification
  • Experience with aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and nickel alloy
