Why this role matters
The EPCI Director is a key role with wide ranging accountabilities to oversee the design, procurement and construction of the 1.5 GW Mona wind offshore farm. The role will report to the Project Director and will manage a substantial budget, a globally based supply chain and a team of talented and experienced package managers.
In this role you will:
- Overall responsibility for safe and successful delivery of the EPCI scope of the offshore wind farm & associated transmission system according to the agreed schedule, budget and quality, with the support of the Project Management Office, quality, HSSE and consenting teams.
- Responsibility for the design, engineering, certification, procurement, fabrication, installation, construction, commissioning and handover to O&M of the project, in compliance with the respective consents obligations and implementing the O&M requirements into design and delivery.
- Responsibility for the integrity of the design and delivery of the wind farm, including the integration of the packages.
- Responsibility for the preparation of the CAPEX and energy yield, maximizing optimization of the project.
- Responsibility for preparation of procurement and contracting strategy (in collaboration with package managers). The Project Procurement Manager will work together with the EPCI director to ensure that this contracting strategy is fit for purpose and ready to progress for approval and implementation.
To be successful in the role you will bring:
- Strong leadership skills and experience of leading multidisciplinary teams in a global context.
- A proven track record of EPCI delivery at the largest scale of Offshore Wind projects including both generation and transmission scopes.
- Experience of working within UK HSSE and legislative context.
- Qualified to Masters degree level in a relevant engineering discipline with evidence of continued professional development.
