Offshore wind is a complex, uncertain and expensive industry. From bidding, through construction, installation and operation, costs are in the billions over multiple years and require many strategic partnerships across a dynamic geopolitical and environmental landscape. The FP&A team is vital in helping the business and our shareholders understand short-, medium- and long-term financial challenges and funding needs across our portfolio of development and operational projects. Our role is to ensure leaders make decisions with a full understanding of the financial implications of those decisions.
In this role you will:
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting and long-term business plan process, working closely with colleagues across Finance, Development and Investment Governance teams.
- Consolidate the total JNBP financial plan, ensuring accurate accounting in accordance with IFRS and a clear understanding of the key movements.
- Build insightful presentations, reports and analyses that explain the financial plan to key stakeholders.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and presentations that provide insight into the performance of the business.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the rollout of Anaplan across Finance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive financial models to support business growth initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
- Support Accounting in achieving an accurate financial close each quarter.
To be successful in the role you will bring:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with 10+ years post-qualification experience.
- Solid experience in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), Business Partnering, and providing support to CFOs, FDs and senior business leaders.
- Experience of working with an integrated planning tool such as Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, SAP Analytics Cloud, Datarails, etc.
- Ability to think strategically and provide high-level insights, while also being hands-on and involved in the details as necessary.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial data.
- Proficient in financial modelling, with the capability to develop and maintain complex financial models.
- Exceptional business partnering skills, fostering collaboration across different departments.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Highly proficient in managing high volumes of data to rapidly evaluate key sensitivities and exceptional items.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and competent in PowerPoint for effective communication of financial insights.
