Main Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities:

  • As an experienced Content Designer (Consultant) at Kainos, you will be responsible for creating clear, user‑centered content and making use of recognised content design guidelines and principles.
  • You will be an advocate for user‑centered design, design thinking and service design, and passionate about guiding others in content design.
  • You may also manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managing employee performance and assisting in their career development.
  • You will be part of our growing Experience Design capability creating exemplary digital services.

Minimum (essential) Requirements:

  • Lead and carry out the design of user‑centred content experiences, owning specific work areas.
  • Expertise in planning, commissioning, creating and editing digital content across various channels.
  • Can develop content strategies and recommendations based on user needs, research and analysis.
  • Comfortable writing style and tone of voice guides.
  • Able to contribute to the definition of KPIs within a service.
  • Comfortable running content workshops and able to recommend on best tools and methods for content delivery.
  • Experience producing style, governance and workflow guidelines.
  • A demonstrated ability in managing, coaching and developing senior members of your team and wider community.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent commercial awareness.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong awareness of content design/strategy trends and best practices.

Desirable:

  • Experience in assisting with or conducting research and analysing findings to identify content needs.
  • Experience of working in a full-service digital agency environment.
  • Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies.
