Main Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities:
- As an experienced Content Designer (Consultant) at Kainos, you will be responsible for creating clear, user‑centered content and making use of recognised content design guidelines and principles.
- You will be an advocate for user‑centered design, design thinking and service design, and passionate about guiding others in content design.
- You may also manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managing employee performance and assisting in their career development.
- You will be part of our growing Experience Design capability creating exemplary digital services.
Minimum (essential) Requirements:
- Lead and carry out the design of user‑centred content experiences, owning specific work areas.
- Expertise in planning, commissioning, creating and editing digital content across various channels.
- Can develop content strategies and recommendations based on user needs, research and analysis.
- Comfortable writing style and tone of voice guides.
- Able to contribute to the definition of KPIs within a service.
- Comfortable running content workshops and able to recommend on best tools and methods for content delivery.
- Experience producing style, governance and workflow guidelines.
- A demonstrated ability in managing, coaching and developing senior members of your team and wider community.
- Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent commercial awareness.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong awareness of content design/strategy trends and best practices.
Desirable:
- Experience in assisting with or conducting research and analysing findings to identify content needs.
- Experience of working in a full-service digital agency environment.
