We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated New Business Executive (Commercial) to join the team here at the Jensten Group. You’ll be mainly focussing on New Business, generating new clients and building pipelines – with the main aim of the role to add to the existing client base and increase income. We offer a variety of insurances to our customers, which include Motor Fleet, Commercial Combined, Professional Liability, SME’s, to name a few. Reporting to the Branch Director, you'll be based from our Watnall office (we have hybrid working options/flexibility) and can help provide leads/referrals to follow up on.

Responsibilities

  • Offer and present insurance solutions including insurance policies and other risk management solutions, with purpose to secure new business.
  • Identify and pursue cross‑selling, up‑selling and similar opportunities.
  • Utilise all leads provided to you by the company and develop new and efficient ways to increase the quote volume.
  • Achieve or exceed agreed volume of Quotes/Sales/Income generated from all marketing sources including own personal prospecting activity.
  • Negotiation of competitive terms with the product/service providers in order to satisfy client requirements.
  • Handling invoicing of all premiums due including effective credit control, where necessary.
  • To understand client’s business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA.

About You

As one of our New Business Executive's, you’ll be a ‘go‑getter’ type of person, being proactive and constantly prospecting for new clients. You’ll be able to build and strengthen relationships easily, doing client visits where necessary and staying in regular communication. You’ll have a passion for providing solutions – and a flair for spotting opportunities that will help existing and new clients go forward. You will also be or have:

  • Insurance background – especially in Commercial (essential)
  • Proven successful new business income generation, with a passion and flair for new business (essential)
  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner, being able to network & build working relationships easily
  • Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance and sales
  • Acturis system knowledge (ideally)
